Cultivation Techniques of Tomato Fruit Set for Multiple Times in Solar Greenhouse

Tomatoes use multiple fruit setting techniques, one sowing, 2-3 harvests, and the yield is increased by more than 2 times. The specific technologies are as follows:

    1. Variety selection.

Most of the whole growth period of tomato cultivation in solar greenhouse is in winter with low temperature and little light. Therefore, medium and early maturing varieties with high fruit setting rate at low temperature, fast fruit development and good commercial characters should be selected.

   1. Sowing time. According to local climatic characteristics and years of production experience, the sowing date is determined to be from late September to early October. Planting in late November, and harvesting in early and mid-February.

    2. Sowing method. The seeds can be sown when they are white. Before sowing, spray the surface of the seedbed with a watering can, then sprinkle a thin layer of moist fine soil, sow at 5-10 grams per square meter, and cover with soil 1 cm after sowing. It is advisable to keep the soil temperature at 23-25 ℃ before emergence, and the seedlings can emerge in 4-5 days.

    2. Cultivating strong seedlings

The whole seedling period of winter and spring tomatoes is in the late autumn and early winter seasons. In order to cultivate strong seedlings of the right age, seedling management is very important.

    1. Management from post-emergence to pre-seedling. After 50% of the seedlings are arched, the temperature is 22-25 ℃ during the day and 10-12 ℃ at night. After the cotyledons of the seedlings are unfolded, the dense seedlings, double seedlings and diseased seedlings should be removed as soon as possible to increase ventilation and light transmission. Generally do not water before the seedlings are divided to prevent the occurrence of diseases in the seedling stage. The soil is dry and wet, and the relative humidity of the soil is 60-70%.

    2. Management from seedling division to before planting. Dividing seedlings can not only expand the nutrient area, prevent the seedlings from being crowded and leggy, but also promote multiple lateral roots. The seedlings should be divided in the morning on a sunny day. When the seedlings are divided, the seedlings are planted on the pre-prepared seedling beds. The seedlings are divided into 15 cm square, watered enough, and then covered with a thin layer of nutrient soil to maintain moisture.

    3. Tomato seedlings should be hardened at low temperature before planting to improve the stress resistance of seedlings, enhance cold resistance, improve the survival rate of planting, and shorten the slow seedling period. The seedlings that have been fully exercised can endure a low temperature of about 0 °C for a short time without freezing.

    3. Reasonable dense planting

    1. Fertilization is an important way to promote the rapid growth of vegetables. Therefore, if you want to increase the yield of vegetables in greenhouses, scientific fertilization is also required. In the process of vegetable growth, the nutrients contained in the soil are often difficult to meet the growth needs of vegetables. Therefore, in the process of vegetable growth, growers must select suitable fertilizers for fertilization according to their specific growth conditions, so as to fertilize vegetables. provide sufficient nutrients for growth.

    2. Planting time. The winter and spring tomato planting time is generally in late November, and the minimum ground temperature of 10 cm in the greenhouse during planting is above 13 degrees Celsius.

    3. Planting density and planting method. The density is 26-27 cm in plant spacing, and 3,000 trees are planted in standard sheds per mu. Choose a sunny morning for planting. When planting, dig the planting hole and then pour enough planting water. The principle of watering should be mastered and not excessive. If the planting water is uneven, it should be supplemented with slow seedling water.

    4. Post-planting management

    1. In the process of growing vegetables in greenhouses, the problem of pests and diseases is also an important problem affecting their growth and yield. Therefore, growers must do a good job in the prevention and control of pests and diseases in the process of planting, and strengthen the prevention and control of pests and diseases in the later stage. Varieties and their easy-to-occur pests and diseases, do a good job of corresponding prevention and control, and effectively combine physical, chemical and biological control measures. When choosing chemical agents, try to choose agents that are less harmful to vegetables to prevent them from affecting vegetables quality has an impact.

    2. Pruning and hanging seedlings. After half a month of planting tomatoes, the plants cannot grow upright when they grow to a certain height, and they need to be hung. At present, the commonly used method in production is to hang the seedlings with nylon ropes to reduce shading. Tomatoes in winter and spring are pruned from a single stem. Do not fork before flowering. Fork too early is not conducive to root growth. After flowering, all side branches are removed, and the fork cannot be cut too early. Generally, it is more appropriate to cut the fork, which can effectively control the contact infection of virus diseases.

    3. Harvest at the right time. The top of the tomato turns red, indicating that the fruit has entered the veraison period. Tomatoes can be picked and put on the market when 1/2 or 2/3 of their color has changed. Picking is carried out on the first night. After picking, put them in a sealed pile at 22-24°C. On the next day, the tomatoes will basically turn red. The first ear fruit of tomatoes should be picked early, otherwise it will easily cause premature senescence of the plant and affect the growth and development of the fruit in the future.
