The misunderstanding of vegetable cultivation in greenhouses! Don't "step on thunder"

The use of greenhouses to grow vegetables has become an important way for vegetable farmers to grow vegetables because of their early listing and high price, which can bring higher income to vegetable farmers. However, in ordinary production management, many vegetable farmers often make some wrong judgments and take some incorrect measures based on their own intuition or immature experience, which may lead to reduction of production and income. Here are common mistakes and preventive measures for vegetable farmers to correct. Vegetable farmers must remember!

Mistake 1:

Vegetables grow faster when the temperature is high

In fact, the growth of vegetables has an upper limit on the temperature, which is generally 25℃-32℃. If the temperature is too high, the respiration of plants will be large, the operation of the body and the physiological activities will be disordered, the plants will grow leggy, the nutritional and reproductive growth will be unbalanced, and the yield will decrease.

Preventive measures:

One is to set up two air vents in the greenhouse, when the temperature is too high, timely ventilation and cooling.

The second is to carry out production management according to the appropriate temperature required for the growth period of different varieties of vegetables and various organs to prevent the growth of vines and fruit at high temperatures.

Mistake 2:

The more seedlings left, the higher the yield

Many vegetable farmers always want to keep a few more plants when they keep seedlings, thinking that more seedlings can produce higher yields. In fact, in the late winter and early spring seasons, due to the low temperature and weak light, the photosynthesis of plants is weak, and the carbohydrate synthesis is low. Only reasonable sparse planting can achieve high yield.

Preventive measures:

First, overwintering vegetables should be reasonably sparsely planted.

Second, in order to effectively use the space, the management methods of dense planting in the early stage, thinning plants in the middle stage, and thinning branches in the later stage can be adopted, and the leaves and branches are not crowded.

Mistake three:

The more medicine you take, the less disease you will get

In the middle and late stages of vegetable growth, due to high temperature and many insect pests, some vegetable farmers apply medicine every 2-3 days, thinking that if the medicine is applied frequently, the disease can be prevented from spreading.

Preventive measures:

One is symptomatic spraying. It is best to use copper-containing and zinc-containing agents, which can not only kill bacteria, but also enhance the ability of plants to resist the invasion of bacteria, and can also promote crop growth.

The second is to improve the growth environment. In the late stage of vegetable growth, the branches and leaves are lush and the ventilation is poor. The effect of spraying medicine every day is not necessarily good. At this time, the leaves should be sparsely ventilated and cooled.

The third is to prevent the dead seedlings caused by soil-borne pathogens in the seedling stage. If the source of the disease is not removed, the seedling stage will carry germs, and the disease will attack in the later stage, and the germs have invaded the plant body, and the effect of frequent spraying is not good.

Mistake 4:

The more times, the more income

Many people believe that the construction of greenhouses requires a large investment, so the land cannot be left idle, and as many crops as possible, one crop after another. In fact, planting vegetables many times is often counterproductive, and the planting efficiency is not high.

Preventive measures:

According to the vegetable market conditions, the crop stubble should be reasonably arranged.

One is to plant a large crop of crops over winter. In the spring and autumn, it is appropriate to take two crops a year. The old plants of eggplant, pepper, tomato and cucumber can be regenerated for another crop. If the market price is low, the plants should be removed to dry the ground.

The second is to have a free period of time in summer, deep ploughing the land, drenching salt with rain, sterilizing by exposure to the sun, stuffing the shed to kill insects, and curing the soil to ensure that the soil is loose and breathable.

Mistake five:

Soilless cultivation is more expensive than conventional cultivation

Although soilless culture adds materials such as culture tanks, water supply pipes, nutrient substrates, ecological liquids, organic nutrient solutions, etc., which increases costs, it saves production links such as ploughing land, and reduces agricultural inputs such as pesticides and fertilizers. , compared with conventional cultivation, the production cost is lower.

Usually, substrate soilless cultivation does not require high-tech equipment, and only needs to invest several thousand yuan to build a cultivation tank and micro-irrigation system to make substrates, and the production cost is reduced by 80% compared with conventional cultivation. It reduces the area of water distribution, reduces the occurrence of pests and diseases, and prolongs the growth period of vegetables, generally increasing the yield by 20%-40%.
