Why can facility agriculture represent the development direction of modern agriculture

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs jointly with the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Natural Resources formulated and issued the National Modern Facility Agriculture Construction Plan (2023-2030) (hereinafter referred to as the "Plan"), which is the first modern facility agriculture construction plan issued by China, and has important guiding significance for promoting the modernization of facility agriculture.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, together with relevant departments, will take the "Plan" as guidance, strengthen policy support and guarantee, promote the implementation of a number of major construction projects, guide financial and social capital to increase investment, constantly optimize and improve the development environment, and accelerate the high-quality development of modern facility agriculture.

Development of facility agriculture in our country has two roads:

First, the introduction of foreign automation, intelligence, mechanization and artificial heating, lighting, ventilation and irrigation facilities, can be three-dimensional planting, belongs to the modern large-scale greenhouse. But not only is it not popular, the high cost is even difficult to realize commercial operation.

Another road is that China's agricultural technology extension department promotes agricultural film production enterprises and farmers to join hands, starting from plastic greenhouses and arch sheds, and gradually developing into solar greenhouses and multi-greenhouse, forming rapid development, forming a total area of more than 5 times the sum of other countries.

The development of facilities agriculture in our country meets four trends:

1. Opportunities for modernization

Facility agriculture will take advantage of the great opportunity of agricultural modernization to develop rapidly and promote the reform of agricultural supply side.

2. The State encourages returning home to start businesses

Facility agriculture, photovoltaic agriculture, organic agriculture and so on are the new forms of agriculture.

The state promotes and encourages migrant workers to return home to start businesses, and facility agriculture projects will certainly be used by entrepreneurs as a place to show their skills.

3. Green agriculture

Facility agriculture advocates photosynthesis and pollution-free planting technology, so in the context of the development of green agriculture, green agriculture, organic agriculture, and pollution-free vegetables will get considerable development in the field of facility agriculture.
