The "Plan" clearly defines the construction of four key tasks: modern facility planting industry based on energy saving, modern facility animal husbandry based on efficient and intensive, modern facility fishery based on ecological and healthy breeding, and modern logistics facilities based on storage and preservation and drying. Six major projects were deployed to upgrade modern facility agriculture, construct modern facilities for planting in the Gobi Saline-alkali land, construct modern facilities for intensive seedling (seedling) raising, construct efficient and land-saving facilities for animal husbandry, construct intelligent aquaculture and fishery farms, and construct cold chain logistics and drying facilities.

According to the Plan, by 2030, the scale of modern facility agriculture in China will be further expanded, the regional layout will be more reasonable, the proportion of facility vegetable production will increase to 40%, the scale rate of animal husbandry will reach 83%, the output of facility fishery aquaculture aquatic products will reach 60%, the mechanization rate of facility agriculture and the contribution rate of scientific and technological progress will reach 60% and 70% respectively.

Strengthen the weak points in an orderly manner

In view of the high proportion of old facilities in the field of facility planting, imperfect scientific and technological innovation, weak industrial chain and other problems, Liu Lihua, deputy director of the planting management Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, said that the goal will be to coordinate and strengthen the stable and safe supply of food and "vegetable basket" products. We will focus on upgrading old facilities in areas with traditional advantages, developing modern facilities for planting on non-cultivated land, demonstrating standardized facilities for planting in large and medium-sized cities, and building intensive regional seedling (seedling) raising centers.

Through continuous exploration and innovation on the basis of practice, the development of modern facility agriculture has formed a number of characteristic experience practices. Shandong has made great efforts to tackle key problems in the cultivation of facility agricultural varieties, and implemented agricultural seed improvement projects, livestock and poultry genetic improvement plans, and aquatic seed industry support actions, and the rate of seed localization has increased to more than 80%.
